Training Curriculum
The academy utilizes the Jones and Bartlett Publishers instructional text package Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills. The educational material is a joint effort between the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). The resources include a student textbook, textbook CD-ROM, student workbook, student practical skills reference manual, practical skills DVD set, instructor reference set, and various online adjuncts. The multimedia approach provides many opportunties to meet every learning style for every recruit throughout the academy.
